Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Zuluu ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Zuluu mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: when you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication identifier from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
• Voice recordings: when you record voice samples, we collect short audio clips of you speaking pre-defined phrases. These samples are used solely to create your personal voice clone.
• Generated affirmation audio: audio files we generate in your cloned voice are stored under your account so you can replay them.
• Profile and preferences: your onboarding answers, notification time, playback preferences, and other settings.

Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics: we use PostHog to collect anonymized product analytics (screens viewed, features used, session length) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
• Device information: basic device type, OS version, and app version.
• Subscription data: RevenueCat handles subscription state and receipt validation. We do not store your payment card details — those stay with Apple or Google.

How we use your information

• To create and operate your voice clone.
• To generate and deliver personalized affirmation audio.
• To maintain your account, settings, and listening history.
• To send you reminder notifications you have opted into.
• To improve the app through anonymized analytics.
• To respond to support requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.

Voice recordings — how they're handled

Your voice is yours. We treat voice samples with extra care:

• Storage: voice samples and generated audio are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Supabase). Access is restricted to your account.
• Voice cloning: we use ElevenLabs as our voice cloning provider. Your samples are sent to ElevenLabs solely to build your private voice model. ElevenLabs is contractually prohibited from using your voice for any other purpose, and we do not permit your samples to be used to train shared or public models.
• Access: Zuluu staff do not listen to your voice recordings as part of normal operations. Limited access may occur only when required to investigate a specific support request you submit, and only with appropriate safeguards.
• Deletion: you can delete a voice clone or your entire account at any time. See "Account deletion" below.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate Zuluu, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
• ElevenLabs — voice cloning and audio generation.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• PostHog — anonymized product analytics.
• Apple and Google — sign-in and payment processing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Account deletion

You can request account deletion from inside the app or by emailing us at zuluuapp@gmail.com. After you request deletion, we honor a 7-day grace period during which you can cancel the request and recover your account. After that grace period:

• Your account, profile, and settings are permanently deleted.
• Your voice clone is deleted from our systems and from ElevenLabs.
• Your voice samples and generated audio are permanently deleted from storage.

See the Delete Account page for step-by-step instructions. Some records may be retained for a limited period as required by law (for example, billing records).

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days from active systems and within 90 days from backups, except where longer retention is required by law.

Children's privacy

Zuluu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at zuluuapp@gmail.com.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest for stored audio. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you of any breach affecting your information as required by law.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We use service providers that comply with applicable data transfer requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
